Student diary in Boston, Aug 16
In the morning, we had a session on Visual Thinking Strategies (VTS), and in the afternoon, we visited the MIT campus.
During the VTS session, I realized how important it is to think deeply when considering something, such as questioning why I think a certain way or whether there are other perspectives to consider. I was glad I could share my thoughts without being as nervous as before.
The MIT campus tour was amazing! I was particularly interested in the nanotechnology research. However, even though I had a question in mind during the tour, I couldn’t bring myself to ask it. I realized that I’m still hesitant, so I’ll try to speak up more tomorrow.
As soon as I got back to the hostel, some Chinese people in the shared space started talking to me. I had a great time chatting with them, and it turned out to be a meaningful experience.
